             Beaches
beaches     This is the movie I watch when I need a good cry. Wait a second, no I don't. This one is also one of the wife's favorites but i compare it to the torture that William Wallace gets in Braveheart. I mean 2 friends that know each other for 30 years with their ups and downs...Lord take me now!!!! They should remake this movie with guys...but wait then it would be completely unbelievable. Just remake it with Ricky Martin and Lance Bass...they are kind of like chicks.
             When Harry Met Sally…
Harry and Sally     Ahh...the wife's favorite film of all time and what a surprise it is from the 80's. She tends to live in the 80's on occasion. Out there somewhere is her DVD that Carrie Fisher signed at the Star Wars Celebration. We seemed to have misplaced it(I think I threw it away on accident...DOH!!!!) Even if i did not it is my fault anyway I'm sure. Back to the movie....there are a lot of funny scenes including the famous "fake orgasm". It still is funny and kinda hot at the same time...way to go Meg!!! It it also filled with witty dialogue. My wife does the imitation of Billy Crystal saying "Pecan Pie" every once in awhile. It is a dead on imitation.....in Bizarro world!!! (Love ya hon!)
Divine Secerets of the Ya Ya Sisterhood
Ya Ya     This was not as bad of a chick flick as I thought it was going to be. It is the story of how a mother(Ellen Burstyn's Vivi) and daughter's (Sandra Bullock's Sidda) relationship is strained and needs to be mended. Enter the YA YA Sisterhood which is the mother's group of lifelong friends who kidnap Sidda to explain things to her through a scrapbook they created over the years. Actually the YA YA's are pretty funny and thank god they were because at times this movie is pretty serious when they look back on Vivi's life (Ashley Judd plays Vivi in all flashbacks). James Garner has some good comedy relief but he was more of a side note and not really used that well. The other thing i thought was interesting was seeing Angus MacFadyen not as Robert the Bruce from Braveheart but as a normal guy wooing Sandra Bullock. I repeat this movie is pretty good and if I were a woman I would give it two ovaries up!!!
